King County’s Facilities Management Division (FMD) Upgrades to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.01 with Interloc Solutions

Interloc Solutions | Successful Maximo Projects | enterprise asset management | asset management | asset management solution | maximo implementations | Azure | King County | Maximo Applications Suite 9.1

SEATTLE, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- King County's Facilities Management Division (FMD) officially went into production with version 9.0 of the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) earlier this summer. This upgrade marks a major milestone in the County's commitment to modernizing asset management processes and leveraging advanced technology to better serve its customers.

Interloc Solutions partnered closely with FMD throughout the planning, configuration, testing, and implementation phases to ensure the GO LIVE transition was seamless and disruption to daily operations was minimal. The collaborative effort included extensive data validation, staff training, and a carefully coordinated cutover strategy to safeguard service continuity. In addition to upgrading to "MAS" Interloc's cloud services division migrated King County to Microsoft Azures cloud.

"This update is a significant improvement to our asset management process," said John Shepard, FMD Asset Manager. "FMD is taking advantage of cutting-edge technology that not many have access to yet. Being able to pioneer this update is a nod not only to our team's willingness to improve the way we do things, but also to how our partners view the importance of the work we do."

With MAS 9.01, FMD gains a more complete and real-time view of its asset portfolio. The new system delivers advanced tools for asset tracking, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring—capabilities that were not previously available. It also establishes a single, authoritative source of asset-related data, enabling more accurate reporting, streamlined auditing, and improved decision-making.

The successful launch positions FMD as a technology leader among public-sector facilities management organizations, setting the stage for continued innovation in asset management and service delivery.

MAS 9.01 is now live and ready for users to experience. To learn more, visit interlocsolutions.com or contact Scott Peluso for inquiries.
