Software QC Engineer - Mobility Solutions, Seattle Washington, United States

Interloc’s Seattle mobile product development team seeks a Software Quality Control Engineer. This is a great opportunity to contribute within our established mobile development team supporting our award-winning Maximo mobile solutions. US Citizenship required; we cannot sponsor candidates at this time.

The Software QC Engineer is responsible for evaluating the technical implementation of mobile software development. They will construct test cases in accordance with project requirements, user stories, and test plans; evaluate those test cases against developed mobile applications; and analyze, report, and regress bugs in the software. The Mobile Tester is also responsible for assessing the user experience of mobile applications and providing feedback on usability and functionality. The Mobile Tester may be tasked with developing additional documentation for mobile applications as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Mobile Software Development team to establish best practices for Mobile native application testing, as part of our full-stack mobility solution

  • Write and execute test scripts

  • Provide summary reporting on test execution

  • Develop policies and strategies for incorporating SMEs into the QC process for specialized applications

  • Maintain and configure the wide variety of mobile devices used in testing

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the testing process and toolchain

To be successful in the role, you must have the following skills:

  • Experience supporting software quality processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Reliably set and meet deadlines

  • Understand the software development lifecycle

  • Ability to quickly learn Enterprise Asset Management concepts

  • Adaptable to the demands of the job

The following skills/experiences are not essential, but preferred:

  • Experience using Git

  • Experience working on native mobile application projects

  • Experience with open-source automated testing tools, including load and performance testing

  • WebSphere

  • IBM Maximo Asset Management

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar experience equivalent

  • Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server or other RDBMS

Our mobile office located in Seattle is currently closed due to the ongoing health crisis and so during this time this will be a 100% remote position. When the office re-opens there will be a preference that the candidate is able to commute into the office located in downtown Seattle, with the number of in-office days per week to be determined. In-office attendance will be based on safety guidelines and best practices
